Welcome to my humble abode call it the superdome
See all these visions in my head I got to let them know
Electric atmosphere stadium full
Lights flashing like cameras im seeing the bulbs they represent ideas
Than I get the pen commence to writing full features
When I finished writing take the mic and unleash it
More powerful than lightning is the truth so I speak it use life as my teacher
Bmore city, my training wheels
Ball player or you caught up in them dope deals
I was the former so the latter taught me hopes real
To stay off of that slippery slope and know the end kills
So I chose good advice
Learned at an early age life is rarely black and white
If villainized criminals guided me to right, every human has a fight
So much more than meets the eye.
I paint portraits with my mic
Music is my canvas so I stroke it with real life
Good with the bad for every Jesus has an antichrist
What would be the need for light if there was never night
I cant sleep these days compelled to write
Ink made of tears and the pen never dries
And they ask what is my cry
Freedom
And they ask what is my cry
Freedom
Im my own worst enemy
Call it self iniquity
Im living for tomorrow but today the mirror mimics me
Taunts me
Teases me
Tyrannizes timidly
Id versus super ego
Senior from the fetal see the battle one of many in this war of attrition
Mumin men and jinn versus the shaytan and his henchmen
Im warn thin scorned shirt torn must survive
Trying to die before my death so they can’t take me alive.
And they ask what is my cry
Freedom
And they ask what is my cry
Freedom
they cage a bird in a bigger cage,
does having more room to spread wings mean you can fly?
At lift off you will flap conformity.
Showing stagnant movement
Confusing restraint as liberty
expand,
exhale the minoxide
expel the indoctrination
shackles will become loosened with every book
retrace your ancestors last steps
pick the lock
break the cycle
Tap into the Truth...
and
Free Yourself ….and Free yourself

Knocking
04:48
|
|||
(chorus)
Knock knock Knockin on the door
Waiting on the time when I get in
But until then
Im riding with the wind
(verse)
It’s funny
I never saw myself rapping
Rhymed a little and I’d get a good reaction
But YOU know how people are
They just tell you what you want to hear
And I was never a star
Or so I thought
In music I would never get far
Not really like fame
Is what makes
me write these bars
but sometimes I sit and think
I
feel im on the brink
Opportunity is knocking I just cant find
The door knob
im watching all these jig dancers on the mic lying
they made it little farther though im still grinding
they don’t love it like I do
and i aint crying
Its just the passion that you hearing
Put my heart in these rhymes
You know
just want spread the earth with Goodwill
and Feel like God has gifted me and so I keep it truthful and real
and the truth is a deal
is next to
impossible ta get
if you dropping knowledge cuz they scared of what you represent
(chorus)
Knock knock Knockin on the door
Waiting on the time when I get in
But until then
Im riding with the wind
Knock knock Knockin on the door
Waiting on the time when I get in
But until then
Im riding with the wind
(verse)
now I’m the type to celebrate
when my man do great
never feel like im a failure
when he do his thing
but I cant say the same when I share my success
like dog you aint all that and so I digress
I
Learned the hard way that
The more you understand
The more a stranger you become in this land
It’s a journey and the path gets lonely
But the trick is to still love them for them
Now when a friend becomes hindrance a more than help
Theres comes a time when you have to choose self
U know all we got a destination
so
We cant afford no regrets
See Theres a war goin inside
And I swear
it's like the biggest fight
Of our lives.
And if we're
Even going to have chance
To fly
Then we must
Understand that its all a test
But i guess I'm just
(chorus)
(verse)
Tell me something are we puppets on strings?
If it was written what do choices really mean?
If it was destined are you sayin
We are just playin on a stage scripted
And if so what exactly is a decision?
So many people say they following they dreams, and I just wonder what is the percentage
If only 1 out of a million can be a millionaire is it failure or the dream is just demented?
(bridge)
What are we hoping for
Living for
dying for
Trying for
That got us lost
That got us lost
What are we hoping for
Dreaming for
Feigning For
Scheming for
That got us lost
That got us lost
Got to keep knocking
Knock knock knocking
Knock knocking
Knock knock knock knocking
Till I get in but until then
I’m riding with the wind
Got to keep knocking
Knock knock knocking
Knock knocking
Knock knock knock knocking
Till I get in but until then
I’m riding with the wind
Got to keep knocking
Knock knock knocking
Knock knocking
Knock knock knock knocking
Till I get in but until then
Im riding with the wind
